| VTX Memorial Day Chuckanut Ride 05/25/09 This was a quick little thrown together Memorial Day ride. We started at Jon's house in South Everett. A quick stop in Marysville with a final meet a the Krispy Kreme in Burlington. We ended up with a pretty good size group at the Krispy Kreme. Don't think I took a count but you will get an idea in the videos. From there we took a nice ride up Chuckanut drive and continued on to Ferndale for lunch at the Sonic drive in. The ride back was on Hwy 9. While Hwy 9 its self is a great ride there are many side road options that can allow you to do the whole Hwy 9 ride without riding on Hwy 9. One is the option that takes you to Scooter Stuff a little back country motorcycle accessory store. Lots of times you will find hot dogs or other stuff going on there. But today they took a day off. From there I lead the group on some other back road options. I did miss one turn so the return was not quite the route mapped. Overall it was a great Sunday type ride. |
