| Hub City Abate One Night Stand. This was the 3rd annual. Prior events had been held on Sept 11 as a memorial event for the events of that date. However bad weather plagued the event. This year (2006) it was the first weekend of August and could not have been better. The site is a nice large grass field a few miles south east of Scio (how do you pronounce that), Oregon. There are several nice ride options to the area. There were around 260 (or so) bikes this year. Everyone had a great time and all were telling the organizers that it needs to be a 2 night event. The band Bad Jr rocked the crowd till midnight. They were ready to party on but local law enforcement said no. So it was off to the camp fire. There were several food vendors and in particular a great authentic Mexican taco cart. So Thanks to Hub City Abate for a great event. See you next year. Next year a 2 night event with a Saturday Poker Run??? |
