The Next 100 Years 2006

Rosalia was rocking again for 2006. There were more Bikes, Babes, and Beer
Gardens. The day time temps were in the high 90's. But the nights were cold into the
40's.

There was lots of camping available. It was a long walk to the city center or a bumpy
dusty ride. The shuttle buses and shower sites were not there as listed on the web
site. The camp site was large and perhaps there were showers somewhere else but
we did not find them. Nor did we see any water at the camp site. The did have ice
delivery however. Those were a couple of glitches that we saw. But over all there
were minimal and did not mare a great event. We had our own personal pro BBQ
setup right near our tent. He was preparing and selling great BBQ all week end.

For me this was a great event. The biggest omission was the free tickets they were
supposed to send me. No I never got them guys. The bands were rocking all day
long both Friday and Saturday from noon on. There were many custom bikes and
builders there. The Beer garden stage and the Main stage were going all the time.
Lots of food and refreshments. The town seemed to be in full support.

The Palouse area is the undiscovered country. Every direction you will find beautiful
paved windy roads. They connect all the small farming downs were the farmers need
to haul there crops of wheat. The area is rolling hill sides with a few rocky gorge
areas thrown in. Take any road that is paved. It will be great.

Were you there.

>>>>Wrote this after the Run Last Year 2005<<<<

2005 was the first year for "The Next 100 Years of Motorcycles". The promoters
appear to be trying to create a big event. They seem to have found a town in
Rosalia, Washington that embraces the idea. Over 15,000 attended the first years.
2006 is all ready scheduled.

The town was off limits to cars. Downtown was about 4 blocks long with many
vendors. Around 6 major national builders were there with many of there creations.

There was entertainment all day long in the town beer garden. As evening
approached the events shifted a few blocks to the town park. There was a great
concert with 2 national bands.

Camping in the park area was free after the event fee. There was also camping
available in another small town a few miles away. Spokane is only a few miles up the
road.

This event was very good. There was talk of trying to make it bigger and longer next
year. I will be there
