| Central Tavern Poker Run The Central Tavern Poker Run has been going on for some time now. It benefits the homeless in Seattle. Last year was to be the last run as it had grown to the point of being too much work for the organizer. Several others stepped up to take over so it was run again. It was several weeks later then normal and not heavily advertised. I found it by accident. But it was on again. There were around 50 bikes. Maybe half of last year. It is a fun local run. It leaves the Central Tavern in Pioneer square. Escorted to the Fauntleroy ferry. Across the sound for a run up the Hood Canal. Returning via the Bainbridge Ferry. This year it ended at the Alki Tavern. Not sure on the time frame for next year. It has been earlier in the year before. Again it was a fun local run. Note for 2006. This run did not happen in 2006. It almost died in 05 so it may be done. We will to wait and see what may happen in 07. Thanks Rand The X Man |
