VTXOA Pizza Blast
Date 06/14/08

The Pizza Blast is a strange little animal. Not a hugely nice ride from a road standpoint. One of our
member couples lives in Connell Washington. It is pretty much in the middle of nowhere just a little South
East of Othello. They own a Pizza Joint there called The Pizza Station. Don't stop there on the weekend
and expect to find it open. The town is pretty much shut down on weekends.

But once each spring we meet at North Bend and ride over for a Pizza Lunch. It is just under or over a
500 mile round trip for most. So It is pretty much a VTX social event. The return trip is pretty much in
every direction with folks heading back to both the North and South end of Seattle.

Our North group meet at the Jack In The box in Lynnwood next to Walmart. There were around 10 bikes
there. From there we rode to the Chevron at North Bend were we found the Southern group. Together
we were around 28 bikes or so. After breaking into 2 groups we headed out for the buffet in Connell.
Seems like lunch was a little quick this year. We did not do a buffet last year so it took a little longer. But
with the buffet we seemed in and out.

I took a couple of detours on the way home running up
262 past the Mardon Resort along with the
Vantage Hwy and Hwy 10 to Cle Elum. Was able to make my PNWRR dinner at Cafe Veloce at 6.

So I am pretty full right now?
