| Ride to NoWhere. Date 11/16/08 4 of us meet at the 13th Ave pub for breakfast. Roland, Larry, Fred, and myself. While I was not on call I am always on standby and there was a possible call in the works. But it was resolved. Larry had some domestic chores to do. So Roland, Fred, and I headed north to nowhere. Nowhere can be hard to find and elusive especially if it knows you are looking for it. We thought it might be somewhere around Ross Overlook but were not sure. So we raced up the Snohomish back roads, Oak Mill, Jordan, a new one around Jordan, and up to Marblemount. Had a short coffee/snack break and then someone thought they heard that nowhere had moved back west? So we took the Rockport Cascade road back to Hwy 20 then Concrete and jumped over to the South Skagit racing west. Old Day creek, Hwy9 south and down Burns road. |
| I think we were close to nowhere around Machias but no luck. Sun would be down soon and I had some Grandpa stuff to do so we jumped over to 9 and headed home. Weather was good temps mid upper 50s for the most part. Did get my new gloves plugged in and they work great. I think they may be warmer the old ones. So nowhere is still out there and un found. So we will have to continue our search. Perhaps we can sneak up to it on the IceCycle ride in a couple weeks. Often NoWhere is the best destination. |
