Date 02/17/08

Wow 2 nice days in a row. It was almost to much to hope for. Saturday was cloudy but did offer us some
sun and dry weather. Temps reached the upper 40s maybe hit 50 here and there. Came home early
Saturday night for a good sleep to enjoy Sunday.

It was like Christmas morning for a small kid (lol I am 58). I woke up around 4 am and tossed around until
I gave up at 5:30 and got up. I looked out the deck to see tons of white frost all around. Man it is looking
cold out there. But I will warm up in a couple hours. Two hours later I am watching the weather man tell
me it will warm up later. But right now we are on the edge of freezing and there is ice fog out there??

Ok Ok but it will get nicer right. The
meeting is at 8:30 in Issaquah.
That is around 30 miles away. But I
want to get there early so I head
out about 7:45 or so. Clean my
windshield plug in and head out.

It is very frosty here and I note it
would be a 5 minute job to scape
my windshield on the car. But the
gerbings is on and I feel warm so
off I go.

I 405 is ok and traffic is light but I
am cautious. As I hit the low areas
the fog rolls in and I note my air
temp is 32? Not so good hope it
does not drop anymore. Heading
east on I 90 as I get close to
Issaguah the fog gets pretty
heavy. I decide to turn on my 4
way flashers just in case.

So it was a bit of and adventure getting there. The group started to roll in around 8:45. Around 5 singles
showed up then 2 groups. Not sure on the total bike count but around 20 or so. We split into 2 groups
an headed south. We were traveling thru mostly wooded areas so there were many shaded areas that
glistened pretty good. I tend to be very cautious in those areas.

We lost the main group for a short period but all hooked up again at Enumclaw. The ride to Eatonville
was nice be we did find ourselves trailing some slow traffic at times. We pulled up the
"Truly Scrumptious Bakery" just about the same time as the local Sheriff was showing up for lunch.

The Bakery was nice and had Soup, Salads, and Sandwich's. They had a 2nd floor room that we had to
ourselves. After lunch we broke into several groups. Some heading home. Ours was going for a run
south on Hwy 7 to Alder. There we turned back. I continued on to visit the Cabelas store in Lacey.
