| Everett Meet up Group and Old Strokers Birch Bay Or Bust Date 03/09/08 Birch Bay or Bust? Does not seem like the "or Bust" makes any sense. We all know were Birch Bay is. But I was to find later that it is not as easy as it seemed. The weather held out for a cloudy but very nice day. I actually had to turn of my Gerbings mid day. Did see 57 on my bike thermometer. 7 riders meet at Old Strokers in Everett for coffee and chat. We went for a nice run thru Lake Stevens, Burns Rd and Highway 9. After a great lunch at the Blue Mountain Grill on Highway 9 we headed West to Birch Bay. This is were it got interesting as every road we took ended with a closure or unexpected end of the road. Nothing went were it was supposed to. At least according to our leader Fred. We finally made it however. Short time on the beach and a quick stop for ice cream or cake in Birch Bay. Then we wandered home on every back road Fred could find. It will take me a while to map this out. So for now here are some pics. Will map it later. |
