STOC RTE (Ride To Eat) Anacortes, Wa.
01/31/09

STOC (ST Owners Club) RTE (Ride To Eat). This was a lunch meet at The Rock
Fish in Anacortes. The weather was looking surprisingly good. Was supposed to get
to mid 40s with possible rain showers. But it was looking pretty good all around.

Backing out of the garage however it was hard to keep my footing on the still frosty
pavement. So as I was riding out of my parking lot I was having second thoughts. But
it will be better when I get to the main road and is warming up. A short little hop up I5
to Everett and I got to Old Strokers. This was the meet point for our group of 3.

session as we waited to see if
any others would join. We would
be it. So around 10:45 or so we
headed out. Not to many road
options on the way to Anacortes
and we had waited long enough
that we really needed to take a
direct route so we would not be
to late. So we headed North
West over some more common
back roads by passing a couple
of alternatives.

We got to The Rock Fish around 12:10. So not to late. There were 4 other riders
waiting for us so the 7 of us walked in at the same time. Not to busy and a good table
setup waiting for us. The service at the Rock Fish was good as was the food. It was
getting close to 2 so we decided it was time to leave. Larry had to head straight back.
The rest of us headed up to a north view point for a look at the sound.

The weather seemed to be closing in from all directions so we decided to just head
back. So we all took our own way home. Fred and I returned somewhat the same way
with the addition of a couple of roads we bypassed on the way up. Altogether around
150 miles with and enjoyable basic ride and a great lunch with friends.
